Enhancement of the administrative and technical capabilities of municipal cadres

A program aims at enhancing the administrative and technical capabilities of municipal cadres through training in order to improve waste collection management in cooperation with the Bothorona Foundation for Training and Capacity Building. In addition, the project provides municipalities with supplies and equipment, such as basic supplies, containers, spare parts and tools. Furthermore, the project aims to support the infrastructure by increasing the capacity of the Akider landfill by building a new sanitary landfill cell.
The ultimate goal of the project is to enhance the operational capabilities of municipal solid waste management services as well as improve the work of landfills in the governorates of Irbid and Mafraq by providing waste management systems that are more efficient in practice, and safer in terms of both social and environmental aspects.
